SaM Solutions at SUGCON Europe 2019
On April 4-5, the largest conference dedicated to the Sitecore platform SUGCON 2019 was held in London. The event brought together IT managers and .NET developers from the USA, Germany, UK, the Netherlands, Belarus and other countries. Vadzim Papko, Senior Sitecore and .NET developer at SaM Solutions, represented our company at the conference.
The event included various knowledge-sharing and training activities to allow subject-matter experts to upgrade their skills and lend their expertise and recent developments. Vadzim networked with developers from EPAM, Hedgehog, Coveo and Brimit.
He attended a free workshop on Sitecore Commerce, where participants learned how to create a custom Commerce plugin, and listened to a set of reports on the following topics:
- New Sitecore Cortex (machine learning engine)
- Sitecore Commerce
- Sitecore Hosts
- Sitecore and Dockers
- Sitecore JSS
- Face Recognition and Personalization (the use of cognitive services as a new user personalization tool and the application of various marketing features)
The results of the international Sitecore Hackathon were announced at the event. Our “Brave Sitecorians” were encouraged to bring the module they had created to a fully operational state and publish it on the Sitecore market place.
On the final day, the participants learned insider news about Sitecore 9.2 — a new version that is to be released shortly.
Vadzim shares his impressions: “SUGCON is the greatest topic-related event. I plunged into the atmosphere of the Sitecore community and felt like part of a big family. It's great when you meet in person the guys who create the platform and run cool tech blogs. Communication and new acquaintances are moving Sitecore forward.”
Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is in high demand in the CMS and eCommerce market. Over the past year, the platform has progressed significantly. If earlier Sitecore was represented as a large monolithic machine, now it consists of separate independent cross-platform modules that allow you to flexibly deploy solutions for end clients. Moreover, Sitecore is moving to the cloud with Azure SaaS solutions that are part of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
SaM Solutions aims to be part of the Sitecore Community. We have been developing Sitecore-based projects for more than 10 years and have big plans for the future — to come forward with new implemented projects, technical blogs and meetings.
