SaM Solutions at HR API 2021

Representatives of SaM Solutions took part in the HR API 2021 conference, which took place in St. Petersburg on May 28–29.

HR API is one of the largest professional conferences for HR in IT. This year, the event was held in a hybrid format: offline and online.

Conference topics: recruiting, HR brand, training, compensation and benefits, event management, labor market trends, corporate culture, process management and more.

Companies including Google, EPAM, Semrush, T-Systems, SimbirSoft, Selectel, Dodo Engineering, Kontur and others also presented their reports.

SaM Solutions was represented by Dmitry Ledyaev and Vlad Olkhovik with a report on the topic “Why develop horizontal connections between employees and what does this have to do with meetups.” Our colleagues shared their experience in developing technical communities and explained why it is essential to drive and induce community members regularly. The report touched upon the topic of using the product approach in the management and development of communities.

Dmitry and Vlad talked about the approaches and tools that helped them create five technical communities within the company and conduct more than 100 internal meetups so far. By real examples, the guys showed how communities help build horizontal connections in the company, strengthen the trust between colleagues, create a knowledge base, and also form an environment of constant mutual assistance and development.

They also talked about a mobile application that was developed in-house for the purpose of sharing knowledge between employees and managing meetups.

The report was of great interest to the audience and sparked a lively discussion. There were questions on the involvement and motivation of community members and the further development of the project.
