Challenge

The client needed to migrate its corporate website from the old content management system (CMS) onto Tridion CMS. Due to tight implementation deadlines, the client needed to expand the available team. The client sought a provider that could facilitate them with a ready-made team of professionals who could promptly solve any integration issues helping to advance the process of data migration.

SOLUTION

SaM Solutions placed developers on the project who had experience in the development of complex web solutions and data migration. This ensured an accurate estimated timeframe for completing goals and guaranteed successful migration of the client’s many websites for different world regions to Tridion CMS. Tridion Content Management System was chosen because of its many features that allow content, design, and data to broken down and combined in advanced methods, which supports localization of the sites and the content.

Tridion CMS provides an extremely flexible system that allows users to edit website content within specific settings of the website. For this reason, Tridion was the perfect fit for a company of global proportions. It allows for easy localization of the site into the numerous different languages and supports different types of currency and pricing, with the ability to keep product images, information, and so on, in one place for easy organization.

Our developers were engaged in creating blueprints and customizing application development. SaM’s developers used their skills in C# for template building blocks and fragments, and for creating schemas and component templates, along with page templates. In addition, SaM’s specialists ensured the project would be a success by taking on aspects such as information architecture and content modelling, web application integration, and support of the implementation as well.

The project involved working with multiple marketing publications on 20+ websites. Our developers worked on both the frontend and backend, with content being distributed across multiple servers located in different countries.

SaM Solutions’ skills on Tridion Content Management System also extend to teaching other developers how to program in Tridion – from Templates, to GUI extensions, Broker, and Event System – as well as automating integration using the Event System.
