SaM Solutions has fully delivered a web-based calendar application for one of the leading German web portals. It is a rich-featured calendar application for creating various types of notes, event schedules, for setting automatic reminders, inviting friends to different events and parties and tracking their responses.

The user interface and capabilities of the online calendar is similar to desktop calendar applications such as Microsoft Outlook or iCal on Mac OS X. and was developed with the help of AJAX technology. The online application provides highly responsive, desktop-like behavior without page reloads, enabling the users to view, add and even drag-and-drop appointments from one date to another just like in desktop applications.

The web calendar application is intended for online mail providers that want to offer its users also fully fledged calendar capabilities. It supports a variety of view modes, such as the daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and agenda views. Users can set the number of days to show in their custom view mode. All events in the online calendar can be commented by its users. Events are stored online, so in the case of a user's hard drive failure, no data is lost. The application can import Microsoft Outlook calendar files (.csv) and iCalendar files (.ics) (the de facto open calendaring file format)

Currently the number of the Calendar users has exceeded 20 million starting with 1 million at the product launch.
